What To Expect

We will start the tour in Park Güell. As one of the most important works by Antoni Gaudí, the park is set in a unique area with amazing views over the city. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984, discover how the original project of Gaudí changed to build the current public park. Walk around the Monumental area of the park following your guide. Wander at Gaudí’s mastery and see how he created a naturalistic and organic style, achieving a perfect fusion between architecture and nature. Later, we will go to la Sagrada Familia. Enter the monument and discover the ultimate must-see landmark in Barcelona. Learn about the history and significance of Sagrada Familia by the hand of your local guide. Marvel at the astonishing interior, rich in symbolism inspired on natural wonders. Walk freely around the nave whilst listening to your guide’s explanations of Gaudí’s masterpiece on your headsets.Take in all the details of the perfect fusion between architecture and spirituality. Our guide, Ramon, was a delight from start to finish. His manner was friendly and engaging, his English very good, and he was full of information about the homes on the tour as well as broad background for the history of Barcelona's Modernist era. Casa Batllo was fantastic, even though parts of the house were under restoration and the crowds were large.

Ramon navigated our way to Sagrada Familia with an eye on our not missing our ticketed entrance time. He gave us a lot of background on the development of the church, before and after Gaudi's death. Before leaving us to go into the cathedral on our own, Ramon kindly gave us a map with some of his favorite sites and restaurants circled.

Sagrada Familia is indescribable - well beyond expectations. We could have spent many more hours here than we did; the cathedral is immense and there is an information packed exhibit on the lower level.

This private tour is well worth the cost. You can't beat having a guide dedicated just to your party.
