Our tour was with Ariana who was fabulous. Her knowledge of the Gothic area along with photos was just what we had hoped .
She kept us walking at a fast pace so we could reach the multiple places for cocktails and tapas while giving us time to pause for quick history lessons.
The last tavern where we had our dinner ( think it was Bodega la Palma) was delicious
Ariana did a great job keeping the 5 very diverse people in our group engaged.

A wonderful immersion into the food and history

Thank you Valentina for your enthusiasm for the history and food of Barcelona. We were only two people and I respect a company that still honours a tour during the quiet season. The quality of food was excellent and once again confirms to me that Devour Tours only hires the best people and chose the best places to visit ( this was my third devour tour in Spain) There was too much food to eat and I only wish I wasn’t travelling the next day so I could have brought some back. Come with an empty stomach. Vegetarians and non pork eaters are well taken care of ( although I am neither but my colleague is) The bravas at palma, the vermouth at Pi and the pork Sausage at La plata were my favourites!

This tour was amazing for being exposed to food spots outside of tourist traps! Got to walk around town and try different appetizers and homemade Vermouth. I never would have visited these places or known about them if it wasn’t for this tour. Valentina was a great tour guide for our group! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and gave great recommendations for other places to try on our own time. It was also raining during our trip for a bit and she was kind enough to share her umbrella with me as we went to the next place!

A perfect introduction to Barcelona food culture

This was a very engaging and fulfilling tour. Our guide, Vera, led our group of 7 throughout the streets of the Gothic Quarter, providing a wealth of knowledge on not just food, but this history of the city. The three spots we ate and drank at had their own unique character, and each site provided us with new tastes and experiences.

Vera was engaging and informative, and was more than willing to answer all of our questions and provide recommendations for how to maximize our remaining days in Barcelona.

I would highly recommend this tour, and would urge you to do it early on in your visit so that you can take the new knowledge you have and apply it to the rest of your trip.
