HIGH UP AND AWAY

We were thrilled when our balloon took flight and we soared so high in the quietness. The view from so high was absolutely wonderful . Miguel and his staff were did an excellent job making us feel safe and well looked after.
Our visit to Monserrat was too short however we were given quite a lot of history from our guide Richard. The cathedral was very beautiful to be able to enjoy.

Richard was amazing. He is very knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything very thoroughly. The monastery is BEAUTIFUL! This is part of a package tour we purchased from Air B&B.
Must see! Expect a ton of walking and even more stair cases! The view is a must see!!!

This flight and the pilot Josep were great! I've been on a hot air balloon ride before and this one was just as beautiful. Being able to float in the air and have the 360 view of the landscape was amazing.

Some things that could've been communicated better:

The description said "This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelers", but when we arrived at the take off point, there were several others already there. In total, we we were 14 people and some of the people from the hot air balloon company told us they can take up to 18 people. It would be good to know this in advance or at least change the maximum description from 8 to 18.

I wanted to include the monastery visit and though it mentions it as an option, I didn't see this when I was checking out. There was only one option for the excursion, so I assumed that it was it was included or there would be an email clarifying it. When I did't get any messaging regarding it specifically, I assumed that it was either already included or it would be sorted on site.

This wasn't the case and after the flight, the balloon operators knew there was a group scheduled to go to the monastery, but didn't plan for any others. Luckily, they were able to make a call and an arrangement to include me and I was able to pay the extra fee in cash to one of them. After, I was told by We Barcelona that I had to include it when I selecting the excursion. It's possible that there was a glitch in the system that didn't show this option or maybe some other reason I didn't see it. In any case - maybe including something like "add monastery option in checkout" would help make it clear - and if someone doesn't see it - they can email the company directly to inquire before hand and sort it out then.

All in all, everything worked out well and everyone was helpful and responsive in a timely manner. I definitely recommend the entire package if want a short trip to Montserrat. And definitely if you just want a balloon ride.

Marcos our guide was very nice and knew very well all about the tour. The balloon war a great experience and safe. Transportation was also very confortable and the driver like Marcos was very attentive.
