Casa Batlló is the second great building on Passeig de Gràcia by Antoni Gaudí.
From the outside, the facade of Casa Batlló looks like it was built of skulls and bones. The "skulls" are actually balconies, and the "bones" are pillars.
To work on this building, Gaudí was inspired by the colors and forms of marine life.
Casa Batlló is perhaps the most unusual house in Barcelona. Its whimsical balconies look like skulls, columns on bones, and the façade itself is like a giant dragon. There is not a single right angle inside the house, and the entire interior, created by Gaudí, looks more like the scenery of a science fiction film.

Las Ramblas

Best way to learn about a city

Had a wonderful time, was the best way to begin a Barcelona adventure. Hannah was funny, knowledgeable about the city and all about the art. While bike riding Hannah pointed out the different neighborhoods, so I easily got a good bearing that helped countless times in finding museums, shops and restaurants later in Barcelona. And the Gaudi works; from buildings to parks to of course the Sagrada Familia, astounding! Hannah easily related the history and pointed out the features that set him apart. I can only suggest everyone arriving in Barcelona take this bike tour, I’m so glad that I did. Thanks Hannah
